Happy 2nd Birthday Connor

Connor Robert White.  Two years ago today you came into our lives with a bang.  After a little scare and a week in the NICU, you came home to us a happy, healthy baby boy.  Your life on this earth was too short and we think about you every single day.  Even though you were only with us on this earth for 6 months, you have touched so many lives in these past 2 years.  We are so thankful for having you and others who have supported us.  Hayden and Noah talk about you like you’re still here with us.  We miss you Connor.

We are so thankful for everyones love and support these last 2 years.  We want to mention a few who have been part of Helping Connor Cure Cancer recently:
The Reston Raiders.  Over the holidays, just before the one year anniversary of Connor’s death, the Reston Raiders Hockey Club donated ice and raised almost $3,000 to Help Connor Cure Cancer through a referee vs. Reston Raiders Coaches Game.  Each player donated over $100 to play in the game.  Thank you to Chris Kelly for spearheading this and the entire club for their support.

Girls on the Run – Dogwood Elementary.  Our friend and neighbor Tracy Converse organizes Girls on the Run at our local elementary school.  This year, they asked the girls to give to local charity and they almost unanimously selected us, Connor Cures.  Thank you to Tracy and all of the young girls who raised almost $500 to Help Connor Cure Cancer.

Our 2013 Gala Sponsors – there were many, who can be found here, but most notably two of our top sponsors: Clune Construction (who is returning as a Helping Connor Cure Cancer Sponsor for 2014) and Power Solutions each donated $10,000 towards Helping Connor Cure Cancer.  They made the first Gala & Silent Auction a huge success.

Speaking of which, we are just kicking off our 2014 Connor Cures Gala & Silent Auction.  While we have not posted any auction items yet, you can get to our auction site here.  The program will be similar to last year: A night out celebrating children.  It should be another great evening!  If you, your company or someone you know can sponsor us this year, please let us know.  Sponsorship details are here.

As always, thank you for Helping Connor Cure Cancer.
